“You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens” Rumi
February has been an extremely challenging and draining month. It ended with the passing away of a fit, strong athlete and friend, and not of her own doing. She fought to wake from her coma for 2.5 months after being hit by a car during a marathon and though she started off tough as nails, the brain operations and trauma were just too much to bear and her spirit went to be with the lord. Still can’t wrap my head around death or why some are called away sooner than others. I’m glad I don’t have to explain it to my 1.5 year old yet because she is too young to understand. How many times can a heart break? The answer is, many. Many times.
And though different people deal with grief in different ways, I feel like it’s been a comfort to have young living products as well as the support of friends and good people in my life. White Angelica is one particular oil that spoke out to me early this year. It is a calming and soothing blend of essential oils that contain pure Melissa and Bergamot essential oils that harmoniously bring protection and a positive aura to those around it. This is the one oil that my household loves unanimously including my husband, and he’s usually pretty anti-strong or sweet scents. White Angelica is a high frequency oil – great for protection (a really lovely, unusual, unique blend of Sweet Almond Oil, Bergamot, Melissa, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Rose, Myrrh, Black Spruce, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Hyssop). Luca my 1.5 year old had to come with us to attend 2 wakes in the last 6 months. Not a great place to be as a toddler you can imagine. I cover her and the family in white angelica essential oil before starting out, as it offers protection from negative energies etc. I’m not sure to what extent it works but so far the family has been faring well. I highly recommend this oil for peace of mind, calming and protection. Just the scent is itself is uplifting and offers comfort in an unexplainable way. Try it and see – it’s amazing.
