Baby’s Skin Care comes FIRST, with Cetaphil Baby Moisturising Bath & Wash

Luca our 3 year old is a healthy and incredibly active kid.

One of the biggest challenges for us as parents is really keeping up and giving her enough activities to keep her occupied and this includes being pretty frequently in the great outdoors. It doesn’t help that as travel writers we also travel the globe frequently with bubs in tow. This means she’s constantly exposed to the elements, not just in her own country but outside as well.

From swimming to climbing, rolling around in dirt and chasing kids her age at the playground, her life is pretty complete. However, it also means that she usually comes home, a complete mess thanks to all the hard knocks and tumbling around during the course of playtime. Hair in tangles, grime all over her skin and what have you. Her skin can be exposed all sorts of pathogens throughout the day, but that’s part and parcel of growing up of course.

Luca has been traveling the globe since she was 6 months old.. to date!

Since she was little, we have been experimenting a lot of with different brands – some worked well some less so. Many products left her skin clean but really dry and uncomfortable. It has been trial and error for us over the past 3 years.

Then recently we tried Cetaphil Baby Moisturising Bath & Wash on Luca and it worked really well. Not only does it have a lovely scent that lasts for a few hours, it also keeps the skin supple and moisturised. I decided to find out more about the product and this was the info I got – Cetaphil Baby products are paraben free, mineral oil free, hypoallergenic, and pediatrician recommended. No wonder it worked so well on our active kid!

This particular formula contains one-third moisturizer with aloe vera and almond oil – hence leaves Luca’s skin staying soft and supple and moisturized. I didn’t need to use any additional lotion on her body after her bath, unlike in the past. It’s also Paediatrician recommended, and backed scientifically with a total of 200 dermatologists and paediatricians in on Germany survey conducted between the period of February to March 2015. This means it’s definitely safe to use on her delicate skin.

Now, Luca’s routine includes swimming lessons in the mornings 3x a week, so imagine how much chlorine, u.v. rays, sometimes pollution (haze) she can be exposed to each time. She slather’s on sunscreen of course and later, we take her bath time very seriously to maintain good skin health.

In the bath, it forms nice big suds which gentle cleanses and moisturises her skin and it does not sting the baby’s eyes if you accidentally get some in. At the end a quick rinse and good to go.

Watching your baby grow and morph into a toddler is a beautiful thing. Nothing can match the pride of seeing the hours and days of work you poured into your child starting to bear real fruit. So while we hope as parents to foster great life skills and character qualities in our little ones when they reach adulthood one day, let us also not forget to pay attention to their physical needs, skin care being one of them. It is the greatest barrier to germs and the hostile environment of the outside world. What we equip our kids with today, will be their fortress tomorrow. Cetaphil baby is definitely our product of choice for our toddler’s skin – so far, it’s the one to top!

If you would like to try it for yourself, head on to Cetaphil’s e-commerce stores on Lazada or Shopee or your nearest pharmacies to check it out.
