Christmas is just round the corner, and with it , eating, drinking and merry making.
After that, New Years Eve celebrations will see even more eating, drinking and merry making.. yikes!
So, how do you get in shape before the intense partying gets into full swing?
Here’s How:
1. Stop snacking on Junk Food
Clear the larder, the fridge the cupboards of Junk food. This includes chips, chocolates and yau char kway (chinese churros). Leave only fruits and vegetables lying around the kitchen.
2. Cut out Carbs for the Evening Meals
Let’s face it, with 2 more weeks to go, you need drastic measures to get into that party dress. Try cutting carbs from 5pm onwards. Just have proteins and veges for your final meal. You can loose at least 2 KGs quickly this way.
3. Exercise Daily
From now for the next 2 weeks, work out for at least 1 hour each day. Even if it is just walking to lunch, lifting and decorating the Christmas tree or cleaning the car/home, make sure you work up a sweat for at least an hour.
4. Eat A Healthy Breakfast
Start off your day with protein, complex carbs and Chia Seeds. Never under estimate the first morning juice with added omega3! Works for me.. and keeps me full, and gives me energy till it’s time to eat again.
5. Drink loads of water
Water is the life source that keeps us going. If you’re thirsty, you’re already dehydrated, nd this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms. The last thing you want is to fall sick during this hectic holiday season, so drink loads of water to stay hydated and to help detoxify the system.
