Early morning workouts are the best. They kick start your metabolic furnace and keep you alert all morning. They are also best for beating excessive daytime sleepiness, as it gets oxygen circulating to the brain first thing in the morning.
If you are the sort that constantly feels sleepy even at 10 -11am in the morning, try this simple routine, of changing your workout to the mornings.
40 minute run at 6.10 pace.
3 sets of side plank for 60 seconds each (if you can do 2 minutes, even better)
3 sets of star plank for 30 seconds each (final set do till muscle fatigue – i.e. when you can’t hold pose anymore). Repeat for both sides.
Don’t forget to cool down and stretch after!
