Well, there’s probably more to it than just a food craving. You might be low on some certain minerals or food groups, so here’s a way to quell your urges without damaging our clean eating slate.
You are craving: Cheese, pizza
Your body needs: Carbs, proteins, fat
Try: Brown Rice, Whole grain bread, Whole wheat Pasta, Chicken breast, beans, brazil nuts, oily fish, avocados or broccoli
You are craving: Milk Chocolate
Your body needs: Potassium, Copper, Magnesium or Iron
Try: Dark Chocolate (as milk chocolate is not as beneficial) or, High energy foods like Brazil nuts, Halibut, Spinach, Pumpkin seeds, Quinoa and berries etc.
You are craving: Chips, bread
Your body needs: Carbs
Try: Brown Rice, Whole grain bread, Chicken breast, beans, brazil nuts, oily fish, avocados or broccoli
You are craving: Greasy fries, burgers or fry-ups
Your body needs: Salt
Try: almonds, grilled lean bacon, lemon juice, salad tossed with sea salt, roasted sunflower seeds
You are craving: Soda, soft drinks
Your body needs: Sugar, Calcium
Try: Beetroot, Apples, Bananas, or adding Freshly squeezed Apple Juice, Leafy green veggies, sesame seeds, yoghurt to your diet
