Health Apps the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and found that one of its many functions was to help me maintain a healthy lifestyle.

You can actually get access to different health and fitness programs, nutritional information & care, medical and drug information via health and fitness apps on the Samsung Galaxy 10.1. In fact, you can classify the applications into three simple categories – medicare, exercise and nutritional care. I was amazed that you can get virtually any information ranging from how to administer first aid to an injured person, to nutritional diet information, to how to exercise correctly, via apps you can find in the Samsung app store.

One cool app is the Nutrition Care app that helps you plan an exact nutritive diet plan, according to your BMR (basal metabolic rate).  You can chart the caloric value of different food items that you buy at the groceries, and you can keep tabs on your calorie consumption this way. There’s also a Food and Nutrition app that guides you on what to eat and what not to eat, and even recommends healthy recipes for people on the go. Finally to get a list of balanced diet plans check out applications like Urbanspoon and Food Tracker. One helps you monitor your food intake and the other in finding out what kinds of foods are available in the market!

And for exercise freaks, the Nike Boom app motivates you along as you do your workouts, while you listen to your favorite music.

Anyway, if you’ve always been keen to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, wait no longer. Now is the time to buy it because for a super short period (now till 15th September only) Celcom’s giving it away at RM1388. The Samsung Galaxy Note is offered at this price, with any Celcom First Data and this deal is valid from now until 15th September 2012.

Not only that, there’s an additional RM120 rebate when you sign up along with free subscriptions to The Star ePaper for 6 months. If I had known this earlier I would have waited just a wee while longer, to buy my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 !!
