Here are some fast tips on how to burn fat faster and get a flat beautiful stomach in no time!

Tip 1

Drink less Alcohol. Alcohol is converted directly to sugar and goes straight to the hips. When you have a drink, your body converts a small amount of the alcohol consumed into fat. The rest is converted by the liver into a substance called acetate. Acetate is released into the bloodstream and is used as the body’s primary source of fuel and energy. Seems good that the body is burning the alcohol ? Think again. Your body is using the alcohol and not the stored fat in your body as energy. Not to mention that the unused alcohol calories are also being stored as fat. You are even more likely to develop a gut from the calorie content of alcohol than anything else!

Tip 2

Stop Eating Junk Food. They’re high in saturated fats, hydrogenated fats, added sugars, additives, food colorings, nitrates, and nitrites. If un-hydrogenated fats/oils are put into junk food, they would go bad very fast. This would increase the cost to the manufacturer. That’s because natural oils have enzymatic activity occurring in them which is what causes them and all foods to rot at room temperature. Any food that does not rot at room temperature is considered a “dead” food and should not be consumed. Rather focus good eating habits and exercising regularly.

Stay away for added, processed sugar. I.e. soft drinks like coke and pepsi. Also, be aware that most “fat-free” products are loaded with sugar. Another huge source of hidden sugar are in the sauces you eat. Opt to make your own sauce using super foods like avocado (rich in good fats) or go without.

Reduce late night snacking. It’s fattening and your body cannot burn all that fat and energy when sleeping. If you must snack, try these healthy options instead.

Reduce carbs and eat like a caveman.. i.e. eat meat. Eat high quality protein such as grass-fed beef, hormone free chicken, wild-caught fish, farm raised eggs. Stay away from “white” carbs. This is especially true in foods that have been man-made white by processing, such as white flour and white rice. In these two foods, the most nutritious brown part of the food (the bran; and in wheat, the germ) has been factory-removed by processing or bleaching and the colorless stuff that remains is nutrient-poor. So forget white.. think brown.

Drink more Water. Water is your body’s principal chemical component and makes up about 60 percent of your body weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don’t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired. Also if don’t drink enough water, your body ends up retaining fluid, and making you look bloated.

Exercise in Short Bursts! This speeds up your metabolism and helps to burn fat. The Top 10 Fat Burning manoeuvres are actually compound movements.     It takes a lot of discipline to stay away from alcohol 🙂

    Oh also how not to pair snacks and munchies with alcohol? 😛

      Yeah, that’s my weakness too. Currently guzzling a bear. But I did run 15KM earlier and completed burpees, triceps dips and plank:P

    Simple, effective advice.

    I read up a book with similar thoughts called the Four Hour Body by Tim Ferris. I follow a “slow carb”, high protein, HIIT (High Intentisy Interval Training) and weight training regimen. Am nowhere close to a six pack as there is a ton of “cheating” involved (heh!), but loving having a thought process to follow at the very least! One day that six pack will come.. one day 😀
